Well, “vacation” is over. I’m back to work tomorrow, making some more masks to take back with me. After three weeks without being called in, I’m relieved as hell I still have a job to go back to. Other than that worry though, I enjoyed my time off. All the time I could have ever wanted to enjoy my hobbies, lazy days hanging out on the back deck with the bulldogs, no people and sleeping as much as I wanted, can’t say I hated it, nope didn’t hate it at all. I haven’t had that much uninterrupted time off since 1992. For reals. Quarantine mandates are still in effect for my state, but Veterinary Medicine is considered essential services. These are far from usual times though so we’ll be doing absolutely everything we can to keep ourselves and our clients safe too. And help all the animals. Today

My husband and I spent the day drawing pictures on our computers while our daughters set up a small sweat shop to produce medical equipment without fair compensation.

(I'm an Artist and my husband is an Engineer. We are working from home.  My drawings are illustrations for a children's book and his are building systems plans. The girls got out my sewing machine and started making cloth masks to donate to the local hospital.)
