Here’s a snippet of me playing Makenai from Sailor Moon (original song here) on my keyboard!  A few things to note:

The piano is my very first instrument, but I am mostly self-taught (which also means I’m not a professional or anything).  There are mistakes in this video, but it’s taken me years to be able to get to this point in playing this (tumblr doesn’t like big videos, otherwise I’d post a full recording of an attempted playthrough).

I found this arrangement and printed it out a few years ago, but since then, it’s been taken down (or it’s just...somewhere where I can’t find it now); so let me emphasize: this is not my arrangement, and my sheet music doesn’t indicate who did arrange this.  I’m just the idiot trying to play said arrangement.

This is a work in progress!  This arrangement is really daunting, but I decided to go for it a few years ago.  I’m really happy with where I am with it now, though I do have some more to fix!  Some of the rhythms aren’t completely right, and I definitely need to smooth out some parts.

So yeah...I just wanted to post this just to have a stamp of where I’m at with this right now.  I really hope to get even better at this, and maybe eventually post the full playthrough at some point :)
