Who's Make N Style???

Make N Style started as a collective of Freelance Artists looking for more gigs.  What has evolved over time is that we actually created a state a mind, an agreement, something to stand on.  So we believe that when you keep an open heart, you embrace positivity and work to your best ability you will be able to display your true personal style.  You will be able to create the future you see for yourself.  And you will make a difference in someone else’s life.  We are a team of Independent Artists supporting each other and our own personal goals.  We pride ourselves on not only bringing the talent to our clients, but working with a sense of the greater good.

I personally aim to bring this community of Artists working in the Beauty, Fashion and Entertainment Industries of South Florida closer together, to share and learn, and to create collaboratively.  My mentor Rory Lee taught me the ins and outs of working for yourself.  Who better to partner with on this adventurous idea?  (Let me get you up to speed… I do hair, Rory does makeup.  MAKEup by rory meets kaareN STYLES!  Get it?)  Rory is also the founder of the Our Girls Enrichment Program.  MNS has been dedicated to yearly volunteering for the Miami Heart Gallery and other charities.

MNS Artists have worked with celebrities such as Angela Simmons, Daisy Fuentes, Beatriz Luengo, Robert Townsend, Kevin Sorbo, Ray Kay, Flo Rida, R. Kelly, YMCMB, as well as being mentioned in Ocean Drive Magazine.  Numerous brides have been overjoyed on their special day with our killer team.  Citi Bank wrote a letter of thanks for our work that was featured on the cover of Florida Business Magazine.  We cover all angles.  Styling, designing, producing.  And  yet we also each have our personal clients that just like to feel beautiful in their day to day life.  Our goal is to not only help each other, but to also make sure our client finds what’s true to them.  We are Make N Style.

Make N Style YOUR BODY - ASTHMA

We care about beauty from the inside out, and without good health we cannot achieve our optimum style.  Tasneem Pann was kind enough to share this information on Facebook.

ASTHMA?  Here is a great NATURAL remedy... When you're feeling tight...make a hot cup of coffee (or tea), and put Cayenne pepper in it, a good teaspoon or so depending on the size of the cup. It'll open you right up and stimulate your blood and relax the tightness and inflammation.

Make N Style at RAW Artists Showcase 7/12/2012

This was the PREMIER of MNS!  Thank you eternally to Rory Lee and the whole team.  We brought 11 hair and makeup artists to the event, 4 of which went on to have their own feature in following RAW events.  We were then nominated in the yearly RAWards for Best Hair.

Make N Style It Green - COFFEE

55% of Americans drinks coffee DAILY!  And for those of us that live in South Florida we know the importance of our Cuban Coffee.  A thimble full will have you awake, the brave drink a small cup and inexplicably find a way to sleep at night.  

Here are some tips on how to drink "green" at home and help Mother Earth, and yourself, stay healthy...

Look for "Fair Trade Certified" where Farmers earn a premium for agreeing to ensure that their working conditions meet federal standards, and they are rewarded for growing organic coffee beans.

Starbucks Coffee is the #1 seller of fair-trade coffee in the US.

"Shade Grown" and "Bird Friendly" labels ensure that the growing methods use natural resources instead, meaning that the trees, plants and animals in the crop area was not cleared or destroyed but used to benefit the growth of the coffee beans.

For every pound of "Bird Friendly" labeled coffee that is sold 25 cents is donated to the Smithsonian Migratory Center.

Coffee grinds are a great fertilizer for your home garden.

Bring a reusable cup to your favorite coffee shop and save the paper (or even worse styrofoam) cup from sitting on a garbage barge in an ocean.
