#dmvnyc is terrible. The #nypd officer who pulled me over enforces bad laws. #bicyclesarenotcars and in a system where they don't have to #makepeopleaware of the laws that they penalize so harshly for. If I'm not required to have a license to operate a bike than you cannot penalize me for traffic laws if you never offered me training of said laws. Do I know I need to stop at a red light, yes, but that's not the point. A 12 year old on a bike can be ticketed for not understanding traffic laws. Is that fair?
