#Repost @baltic3d • • • • • This extra large print was made for our valued partners @project_wide. Printed with blue #MakerBot #PLA plastic on a #MakerBotZ18 machine. The patient will not have to use it for more than 2 months and in these cases use of the hard PLA plastic is permitable. The print was close to 100 hours in total, but keep in mind that it is large and with all the support structures there is also a lot of material needed. It actually didn't fit the Z18 printing volume straight up, hence we positioned it at an angle. It actually helped with surface quality and only minor post processing was done using @retouch3d after the support removal.
