Makers Yard

We were very excited to be taking part in the Makers Yard competition and were thrilled when our designs were chosen for development. We chose to collaborate as this is something we had never had the chance to do before. We both specialise in glass, but approach the material completely differently, so it was exciting to try and combine the two; the collaboration brought us together and gave us the opportunity to play to each other’s strengths. It gave us such a confidence boost to be accepted, and we are so proud of what we managed to create. With very little help from technical staff, we managed to make an amazing piece that neither of us thought possible, just by working together as a team. Overall, it was a brilliant experience.
