JOURNEY TO SPACE. After many failed tests (before this successful one captured on video) and making modifications after each iteration, our Citizen Builders are happy to share with you the good news that you too can build your own Parachute Module for the water rocket you are launching at the Istana Open House on 1 May 🚀 HOW. REPAIR. Sometimes when you play, things can get damaged like one of our trebuchets and spin art machine. When you’re equipped with the right skills like soldering or carpentry, you can repair them instead of throwing and buying a new one ☺️👍🏼 Especially when the item does not belong to you. INSPIRATION. Many of her students know her as Miss Huda or lovingly known to some as Miss Frizzle (from Magic School Bus) given her love for experiential science <3 Huda initially dropped by to collect floral waste from our Hapazome class for her students. She came across a ketupat-kite-sparkling lite at the GUILDHÄUS and wondered if she could recreate it. She took the spare foamboard from our Trashury, did some material bending and buckling tests before embarking on her idea. She went to a nearby stationery shop to get cellophane and her fingers began making her prototype and finishing it up late through the night. She even used the scroll saw to cut her pieces.
