I've been trying to Do Some Writing. I haven't gotten myself to do much. Here's a thing I tried writing, and abandoned. It's noncanon. It wasn't complete enough to be offscreen backstory, and now it's been made obsolete by onscreen canon. I actually like that. Even a little writing gave me ideas to introduce onscreen. Anyway, this never happened: Zia sat on the ground by one of the pools, and trailed her fingers through the water. "Different Sanctuary, differen living thing, different god. This is where I'm going to get my mind changed. The god's name is Mentis, he knows about minds." She took something from underneath a rock. A book, Zane realized after a few microts. The primitive kind, made from plants. "This is a guide to personality traits," Zia went on. "Changing someone's personality isn't part of the usual resetting ritual, but I can reset and then Mentis can do more." She looked up at Zane. "I thought I should ask you." Zane sat by her. "I don't want you changing your personality at all." "Stop thinking that what you want matters," Zia said, her tone sharp. "You're a resource."
