Huge congratulations are in order to Lawren Caldwell of Adams Run, South Carolina, and Maryam Dar of Cambridge, Massachusetts! The Make Sense Foundation scholarships help women achieve their college dreams and desires by donating $10,000 to be applied to their collection tuition. We're very proud of these two impressive young ladies and wish them nothing but success in their educational endeavors.
Lawren Caldwell-Make Sense Foundation Scholarship winner Lawren Caldwell is from Adams Run, South Carolina. Lawren graduated from high school as valedictorian and she has already earned two associates degrees! She plans to major in Environmental Studies at North Carolina A&T State University leading to a career as an environmental researcher. Lawren plans to create a mentoring program that promotes excellence and self-love for women in male-dominated career fields.
Maryam Dar-Maryam Dar is an impressive young woman from Cambridge, Massachusetts. Maryam will study education and sociology at Williams College to become an education policymaker where she will advocate for educational reforms. Maryam is committed to racial justice and believes that all students, regardless of income or background, deserve the opportunity to learn. She will use her voice and share her ideas to advocate for reforms and policy changes.
