10 of Cups Queer Postcard // makeshiftlove
here's a drawing i made in the throes of winter last year. posting in honour of today, the first day i broke into a sweat just by standing outside 🌞
and you're looking at what--
i drew this in the middle of winter to make myself feel better~✿
this is a comic of a conversation between me and my siblings that happened last year. i'm still giggling about it. i find it really funny that my brother knew exactly which one i meant without further elaboration. ah, siblings. i needed a reason to enjoy grocery shopping! those meat prices are NOT FUNNY! and anyway, i love a light-hearted crush regardless~♪
it snowed all day yesterday and i sharply missed the middle of summer when i sit down for the first time after i've cut grass and just peeled my shirt off to get air and am about to dck around on my phone but i get distracted by a stark patch of light or something and end up staring at that instead.
i've been suffering a lot of skin issues lately and feeling some grief about it. my meat sack is peppered with itchy little wounds! and i, an inveterate skin picker, have made some much worse. drawing self-portraits continues to be one large way that i'm able to accept my current state while my skin heals. somehow i feel so much better when drawing the scars by my own hand-- it facilitates the process for me more than any cellphone selfie ever could. (also, i continue my back fat studies!)
