Silence. Those words are punctuated by dead silence from the divine bird, wings furling inward as her spear paused from where it was hoisted in the air. With a blank face and half-lidded eyes, she hesitated. Would striking at him truly be a good idea? He was a demon general for a reason, and they could be more... destructive than their angel counterparts. Quietly, her spear dipped down as she took a few steps, unfurling her wings to escape at a second’s notice if he decided to lunge or stab at her. She should have left, she really should have, but... she was compelled to stay, and she had no real clue why she was. Maybe it was the situation at hand, and maybe it was something about him, but something drew her to stay here for a moment in time, spear point dropping into the soft earth below. For reasons beyond her understanding, she was glad she didn’t throw that spear. She should have wanted to, but it gave her a somber feeling as she thought about it. Probably tricks of the mind, from so much war... ❛ . . . I don’t think that would be wise of me. ❜
