I'll share something very personal today...When I was younger, I lost someone very close to my heart and I wondered what if I had expressed my feelings more often than not? I live with that regret even today...So whenever the scared voice in my heart tells me to risk it (risk my heart I mean) at the fear of the heavy cost of being hurt...I ask myself...if I don't take this plunge today...would I be asking 10 years down the line "What if?" And then I'm not scared of being heart broken anymore...yes! It still might break...but that's what makes it stronger. The regret however is crippling and fodder for disappointment for having loved and lost. I'd much rather risk myself than not, What if this might be the best experience of my life?
