Shop Miss A makeup for beginners
I’m a recent beginner when it comes to makeup and a lot of beginner lists are really long and add up to over a hundred dollars. Here’s the list of things I’ve actually used in the first few months, all of which you can get on Shop Miss A for a dollar, and all of which work just fine. Why would you use super expensive products when you’re still learning how to use them?
1. e.l.f. brightening eyeliner (coffee) OR Amuse fine liquid liner (you can get one or both, depending on what kind of liner you want)
2. Amuse pro matte eyebrow pencil (you can get a different sort of eyebrow product if you like, but these are super easy to use and great for beginners)
3. AOA lumi blush (you can totally skip blush if it’s not for you. Additionally, pick the best color for you. For me, it’s the delicate pink)
4. AOA perfect eye primer - glow (prime your eyes. it’s worth it)
5. AOA perfect settting powder - matte translucent (setting powder is good for a bunch of things. it’ll keep your makeup from moving or ‘melting’ over the course of the day, and if you’re prone to oily skin it’ll keep you from getting shiny)
6. AOA wonder skin - illuminating primer
7. Celavi pencil liner (Get this in silver, milk, or cloudy. It’s for using on your waterline and will make you eyes look bigger. It’s up to you which shade you wanna choose, but keep your eye color in mind when you do. Generally, green/hazel eyes look good with silver, dark eyes look good with milk, and blue/grey eyes look good with cloudy)
8. L.A. colors mascara - black (any old mascara will do, but get it in black. The website has a bunch to choose from)
9. AOA perfect BB cream (Generally, a BB cream is the best foundation for beginners. Pick your own color, obviously)
10. Santee matte liquid lipstick - nudes (Nudes are perfect for an everyday look, and I happen to prefer liquid lipsticks)
11. Zuri shaping and strobing contouring kit (This is a great little palette for beginners. works for most skin tones)
12. AOA perfect pressed highlighter - heiress (Totally optional. the Zuri palette comes with highlighter, but I like to go for that really dazzling white shade)
13. E117 - small eyeliner brush
14. F13 - blush brush (if you don’t wear blush, skip this one)
15. F14 - angled contour brush
16. F16 - precise concealer brush
17. Stella Fiesta short handle face powder brush
18. AOA wonder blender
19. Toss in a lotion, some makeup wipes, and a brush cleaner for a dollar each (all can be found on the shop miss a website)
And that’s it! A full face of makeup. Keep in mind that several of these products are optional, but even if you do buy them all it’s $21.00 + $3.95 shipping for an order total of $24.95. A comparable beginner’s list can be found here for a grand total of $444.00. Now, keep in mind, these are name brand products, but you really don’t need those, especially as a beginner.
Fuck whoever told you that you need to spend lots of money on your face, and do you some beautiful makeup!
