The heartbreaking process of applying whimsical ass makeup to go to my soul-sucking office job😢
Hey guys,
Thanks for the love on my last blog post! I went through a little drought writing this blog but now I’m back in the swing of it! I posted these pictures on my Instagram a little while ago and a lot of people asked me about my lip combo so since we’re all friends here let me give you the details.
To create this lip look I start off using the Iconic Nude Lip Cheat (lip liner) from Charlotte Tilbury. I have been obsessed with their lip liners for years because they are so long wearing and this particular shade is a gorgeous nude tone. If you need a lip liner that is long wearing I really recommend these (Don’t forget my discount code: chanelldqFA7C7 gets you 15% off your first order at charlottetilbury.com).
For the lipstick itself I have been obsessed with the Kylie Cosmetics Matte Lip Crayons. I have used the shade Hits Different, £17.00 which is a gorgeous warm toned nude. They are the perfect matte lip option if you aren’t a fan of a liquid lip formula. I used to be a liquid lip girly and still have so many lip kits but these days I’m loving a more creamy less drying formula. Since I used a matte lip formula to create the pigment I then topped the lipstick with the Clinique Lip Oil in the shade Black Honey to add some shine and hydrate my lips even more.
This has been my go to lip combo this week and I've had so many compliments from everyone so thank you for those and hopefully this post gives you all the info you needed. As always all products mentioned are linked above,
Lot’s of love,

“Out of the 7 palettes, I have been testing palettes 03 and 101. I’m glad to say that SUQQU has indeed stepped up a notch in term of the formula. The eyeshadows are super smooth, silky and emollient to the touch (I’m obssesed). The colour payoff is fabulous so you only need to slightly dip your brush in to pick up products. I find the texture of the shadows thinner, this in turn allows them to adhere to my lids better and more seamless. I love how lightweight and ultra comfortable the finish is. Also the glitter shades are gorgeous and offer a wet sheen, no fallout at all. In addition, the eyeshadows blend and layer seamlessly. Longevity wise, the new formula lasts longer on my oily lids too which I really appreciate.“

NATASHA DENONA TROPIC PALETTE
Yesterday I was lucky enough to receive this captivating Summery palette from the talented Natasha Denona, renown for producing extraordinary eyeshadows that pack a punch when it comes to pay-off and longevity. TROPIC is the latest addition to Natasha’s ever-growing palette repertoire, but... this one is limited edition!! And I think it will sell out fast.
The deep turquoise palette with the red ND logo on the front is so attractive and eye-catching, it just exudes tropical exoticness, which is the very nature of the design. Obviously.
Let me take you through the palette:
TROPIC contains 15 brand new shades!! So as you can imagine, I was most excited to swatch them all, and I was not disappointed. The top two rows are described as a mix of pastels, medium and nude shades, and then along the bottom are tropical and exotic shades. The finishes are as follows: * 10 Creamy Matte * 2 Sparkling (Mint Frost & Gusti) * 2 Metallics (Tiger Lily & Exotic) * 1 Duo Chrome (Limoncello)
Each colour has been strategically placed within the palette to make matching the shades easy when it comes to application. Each vertical row creates a whole eye makeup look, for example; Peach Puff would be applied to the mobile lid, Nudist would be your transition shade that fades up towards the brow bone, and then Mint Frost would be used along the top and lower lash line for a pop of colour. You can, however, mix the shades from the palette to suit your own preference. Natasha’s design has made it easier for those who lack confidence or creativity when it comes to pairing colours.
I have swatched the shades below for you, the first image is under studio lighting:
This second image is of the eyeshadows in natural daylight:
I’m sure you will agree with me that the pigment pay-off is incredible, and in both lighting environments, they are equally punchy and vibrant. Checking out Natasha Denona’s Instagram account I saw swatches of each colour, and there is no denying just how incredibly smooth and intense these shadows are, but what I did notice is that my ‘Tiger Lily’ shadow wasn’t as creamy and intense as the one shown. Natasha swiped hers once and it was super vibrant and opaque, mine definitely isn’t. It took about 5 swipes to build up to the same intensity, which is a shame as that’s my favourite colour to look at in the palette. It’s not bad, just not as I expected. Hopefully, mine is a one-off. That being said, it was the only colour I noticed a difference in, the rest were equally impressive. My other favourites are Mint Frost, Laguna, Pastel Melon, and Peach Puff. I also love Limoncello, it’s a pretty lemon tone that would be amazing on the inner corner of the eyes.
I’m looking forward to creating some tutorials using this palette over the coming months! Be sure to also check out the ND Instagram account for inspo using this palette from the artist herself!
TROPIC will be available from the 8th of March at Sephora, Beautylish, and Natasha Denona. It’s paraben free, talc free and cruelty-free. The price of the palette will be $129.00 USD, approx £92.00 GBP. It is a little on the expensive side for many, I know, but it’s SO worth it. You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to eyeshadows, and Natasha Denona never disappoints.
