I have found a new love!!
When it comes to cleaning brushes, you should always give them a shampoo to keep them clean, and prevent spreading bacteria back on to your skin. If you don’t clean them regularly, the dead skin cells build up between the bristles, as does the bacteria & this causes your skin to breakout. There are various products on the market to wash your brushes in, but over the years I have come across some that just don’t cut it; they are either overly perfumed or the ‘little goes a long way’ products take forever to wash out as they’re too concertrated. You have to be careful not to dunk the entire brush into the water in-order to remove the soap as this can losen the glue within the ferrule, which holds the bristles together.
This new soap bar from ‘Cameleon Professional Face & Bodypaint’ is fabulous!! *100% Vegtable oil based conditioning soap* Not only is this soap perfect for brushes AND cosmetic sponges, you can only use it on your skin to remove all traces of face & bodypaint!! It has a pleasent yet subtle Lemony fresh scent, and it comes in a plastic pot which is ideal as you can hold the product while you swirl your brush on it without losing you grip on the soap - We know what thats like, trying to catch it as it swishes around the sink bowl. You simply dampen your brush / sponge, and then swipe it over the soap once or twice - this is all you need! Then using your fingers lather the bristles into a foamy consistancy. If your brushes are really dirty, you’ll see your lather change colour due to the makeup - Feel ashamed! Lol.. Give them a little swirl in the clean water, taking care not to dip in the brush ferrule, and the soap literally washes away without any resisdue or fuss! The bristles are left looking clean and smelling fresh!
This is a MUST buy for anyone who owns makeup brushes!!
