how does dimentio being a sentient concept work? im very curious about that!
Well firstly, I wanna specify that I used the term "sentient concept" because I didn't know what other term to use with how I view Dimentio :') I think that's the closest description I could've come up with though!
I mostly came up with this silly little idea (I love integrating my hcs into my works so expect more of em, tee-hee) because, after you beat the game (if I remember correctly) even after going into the underwhere, there's no sign of dimentio anywhere(?????) Even though it was strongly hinted that the man was dead dead
SOOO!!!! I came up with the idea that Dimentio is less of a physical being, but more of a "thought come to life with sheer willpower and magic" and the moment the magic was gone, so was he. Not in a gone as in "lack of life" way, but in a "it's like he never exsisted" way. Poof. Nada. Nothing left behind... at least until he wills himself back to life again hehe (dimentio comeback when????)
He does have the capabilities and senses of a living creature, his "body" can feel touch and pain, his mind, although extremely twisted, can have thoughts and feelings, but he's not... "alive" theoretically. He exsists as if he is, he has all the qualifications to be considered a living, breathing being
He just. Not??? He doesn't have the VISIBLE part of being alive either, only his clothes show us that he does indeed have a body.... without them though, he's like "invisible"??? He's like real and not real at the same time. Nobody can explain why. He just popped into exsistence and stayed.... to everyone's dismay
Him mostly exsisting through magic and willpower, also connects to... well my other hc, that if dimentio overuses his magic, he might suffer some side effects
