It’s all Tomoya sent before getting out of his chair and apologising to a friend for having to leave early. He made up some bullshit excuse about family emergencies; evidently the urgency in his tone made way for his crappy lies, however, and he was allowed to leave without incident.
By the time he got to Maki’s place, he was still in the same slightly sweat-stained shirt (he’d been playing basketball, after all), but Tomoya paid no attention to that as he approached her front door. He fixed a cap on his head to hold his hair back, the bill turned so it was on backwards, and then knocked his fist against her door.
“Oi, Maki-tan! It’s Tom. Let’s go!”
