A few thoughts on making things tonight
Making something imperfectly is better than not making something at all. If attachment to perfection is making it difficult for you to start, take it in tiny bits and be kind to yourself. Recognize that it won’t ever exist unless you make it.
In the same vein though, it’s okay to abandon projects if they are no longer giving you joy/becoming a huge source of stress and unhappiness.
It’s never too late to go back and revisit old projects. Some things need time. Some things need so much time that you forget about them entirely.
Make things that make you happy, too. Make things for yourself, to be shared with the world. This will help release your attachment to outward approval and help you be proud of the work that makes you happy first. It’s easier to share things that way.
