writing notes, from yesterday
is it a problem that i have all these parts of stories in me that i want to write urgently and that i'm not like doing literary devices or images that good i mean what is good writing anyway but is this writing doing anything??
all the characters that i write that are teenagers are slightly fictionalized* versions of myself/my friends/people i know now that i imagine i knew as teenagers and have a lot of detail but when i write adults are very fragile constructed and drawn in light strokes (a line that isn't decisive)
/a story written by a very tentative/very young adult
i am a very tentative/very young adult
*in ninth grade i wrote a poem called 'slightly fictionalized' and my english teacher wrote on my draft, "i love that the title means 'this didn't happen.'" only the title was literal and it mostly did happen. it was a love poem
also: i cut into my first piece of linoleum last night and good god it's better than eating butter.
