Honestly, I think everyone is too wrapped up in influencer culture, where everything is performative social media engagement, and they are tricking themselves into believing influencer culture is real life.
Social media influencing is not real life and people with lives and real relationships (or however they define it) do not feel the need to comment, like, repost every single thing because they are busy living
that last part is what people should get about will and mack: they are too busy living for the state of their bond to be defined by likes.
i'm gonna go in a tangent no one cares about but alas
as a semi-sane adult human being who swore off instagram in 2024 some of you people are under spells with this instagram/snapchat stuff and trying to infer people's relationships from it
have we considered that mack lives like a full life that doesn't revolve around being on social media and making content? have we considered will probably doesn't give a single fuck about who likes his insta posts?
i'm not saying it's wrong to track who they follow or what posts they like - go wild 👍🏻 but trying to write a narrative around a not-liked post is genuinely crazy imho
