Down in Texas. @dominiquemcleggan Worked an 8 hour shift yesterday at COTA's vaccine center. Saw roughly 2,500 people receive their second dose. It was encouraging to see so many people ready and willing to get vaccinated. Even ran into Congressman Lloyd Doggett and Judge Brown towards the end of my shift. A few take aways: *It really takes a village to accomplish something at this scale *When asked are you having any side effects post vaccination, many people answered me with "is relief a side effect?" *I'm very grateful for every Spanish teacher and tutor I ever had - I could at least give basic instructions *I can immediately spot a veteran volunteer by their hand signals and ease at which they conduct a 1,000 person drive through😅 *I spoke to more people face to face yesterday than I have in a year #fightcovid #socialdistancing #covid_19 #makingadiffsrence #gregoryburrus (at Texas) https://www.instagram.com/p/CM-yWBaA18F/?igshid=1nqfvgtbrghmp
