Boundaries
The importance of boundaries in relationships can’t be stressed enough. They allow me to keep my peace and sanity. As an introvert I value boundaries tremendously and try my best to keep them without draining my energy. This can be tough at times, but it needs to be done.
Without them people are taken advantage of. In all of my relationships, I attempt to set clear boundaries and immediately address violators when they fail to comply with them. Boundaries that I hold near and dear to my heart are below.
Don’t be rude or disrespectful towards me
Don’t speak to me in a rude or disrespectful manner; this includes tone of voice, i.e. attitude or condescending
Don’t lie to me
Don’t interrupt me
Don’t question the things I say or do
Don’t disregard what I say or do
Don’t take me for granted
Don’t say mean or disrespectful things to other people when I am around
Don’t be lazy and expect me to do all the work
Don’t overwhelm me
