Which place to go?
Living in the city can be pretty overwhelming and stressful. Trying to look for solitude, I attempted to visit this place in Pasay. I hastily booked a car through Grab to take me to Tanghalan ni Francisco Balagtas—without carefully checking if I pinned the right location.
While I was appreciating the smooth ride, the driver dropped me off in an unfamiliar place. Apparently, I pinned a different Francisco Balagtas. Luckily the driver was considerate enough to drop me where I can take a jeep/tric to the place I need to go. I can't book him again because he said he's on his way home already. Say hello to Dora the Explorer! I was torn between booking a car again or just go home since the place is an hour away. And so I mustered all my courage and hoped I can go home safely.
I hailed a tricycle and asked him to take me where I can ride jeepneys going to España. At least, he didn't overcharge a bagong salta. Fast forward to my adventure, a good samaritan heard my query to the driver where I can ride back to España. This man approached me and taught me which route I should take and even paid the fare. Which of course, I got skeptical.
Albeit I didn't get to my ~solitary place~, I feel this is the universe telling me that despite all the darkness life can give, there will always be people who will willingly bring the light and take you back home. Or maybe the odds are just in my favor.
So as a celebration, I went to a nearby church, talked to Him and ate kikiam afterwards. Life's good.
