i pinpointed what unnerved me about killing jeannie may crawford after questioning why i felt such since i recruited boone, and i think it's due to the fact that up until the very end, she acted completely 'normal'

like she didn't question us at all when we told her to come in front of the dinosaur, or seemed to hold any hints of suspicion or Something to suggest she's watching her back. we didn't even need a speech check?

after selling carla to the legion, i personally think there would be some kind of hesitation or vigilance towards anyone after that point. it's a natural reaction after doing something so callous, but she acts as if there's nothing she's done, when in fact she did something abhorrent. and for what, 2000 caps total?

maybe she didn't suspect the courier because we're not settled in novac like the others, but again, i'd think there'd be some watchfulness after, i don't know, selling a soldier's wife and his child to a cult of roman cosplayers.

she's either idiotic, completely certain in her safety, or something else. maybe it isn't that deep but it just bothered me

a little silly moment that happened during a playthrough the other day

i discovered that you could get to freeside without going through the 2000 cap fee thing to get into new vegas, so i went to try it cz i wanted to meet arcade asap

i had boone trailing along with me and because hes an npc, hes not gonna take the mountainous offroad parts, he'll take proper paths if possible. so this fucking sniper is just engaging with enemies all the time and imtrying to avoid them. it was fine, we just came across from scorpions n shit at first

we get to a point where there was nightkin nearby, and obviously i tried to get around them, but boone has ran off to take the proper road. so im sitting there waiting for him like Where is he. then i hear the sound of him shooting something and i see the nearby nightkin running in the opposite direction, because. boone is an idiot

im like BOONE NO!!!!!!! and try to catch up to him, and next thing i see is "Boone is unconscious" or something along those lines on my screen. because we cant have nice things. then i blew myself up trying to fight the nightkin

my next run i just set boone down in novac then went n met arcade myself. it was fine

now theyre both my companions!!!
