Maybe it was the alcohol, or maybe it was just the fact that it was hard to stay scared of Ekubo when he looked like a cloud of sentient halitosis, scarring first-meetings aside, but Reigen was glad for the confirmation that familiarity's bred a little contempt. Ekubo probably preferred it when Oshiro was too scared to mouth off at him.
