after serious contemplation, i’ve come to the conclusion that i do not like the last jedi and here’s why:
1. how did kylo end up with vader’s melted helmet?
2. who exactly were the knights of ren?
3. and what ever happened to them?
4. why did ahch-to have evil beneath it?
5. what is the story behind the glass/ice/mirror rey is drawn to?
6. how did maz acquire anakin’s lightsaber?
7. who was maz fighting and why?
8. why didn’t luke just bring r2 with him to ahch-to?
9. why did rey feel like she had seen/been to ahch-to if she had never left jakku?
10. where did rey’s parents fly to?
11. and were they actually “nobodies?”
12. or was kylo lying?
13. how did kylo and rey continue to have a connection after snoke was killed?
14. how did leia have the ability to fly through space while it wasn’t known that she could harness the force?
15. who was snoke anyways?
16. what race was he?
17. why was he so deformed?
18. why did astral projection kill luke?
none of these issues (unless i am mistaken) are addressed or expanded upon throughout the movie, raising more questions than answers, which i believe makes the movie very unsuccessful
as the second of three movies, i’m not sure we’ll discover much more unless there is very precise writing, an extremely lengthy third film, or, for certain questions, an entirely seperate trilogy explaining the story before the force awakens
