IPOH is my Dad's hometown and a lot of tourists skip it because it's a relatively small and quiet town with not much to do. I'd recommend seeing "Kek Lok Toong" if you're in town!

After spending Chinese New Year's in Ipoh we travel onto Malacca, which is my Mum's hometown! This place is booming with tourists and they've really done the place up for the new year. This pic is from downtown at the famous Jonker Walk.
If you're in Melaka on holiday, I'd highly recommend checking out Restoran Bonani which is on "Melaka Raya 3".
It serves North Indian food which may not be what you're supposed to be eating in malaysia but it's too good to miss! :p
Melaka is also famous for it's Satay Celup and Baked Salt crab.. oh.. and Cendol! So be sure to ask around for the best place to get these things !

There is an amazing Nasi Biriyani/Roti Chenai Place on the opposite side of the entrance to the Portuguese Settlement in Melaka. I believe it's only open during the days. It's found tucked away behind the fruit shop.. note, not directly opposite but close enough!

I didn't take too many shots of food this time round cos I was too busy eating it! bwahhaha.. malaysia - i've never really seen it from a tourist's eye but i think the main attraction is the food. .Make sure you do your research well in advance for the best eats though!! there's a lot of mediocre stuff out there to be sure ... but the gems are well worth it ! #malaysianslovetheirfood
