Because this game came out 3 years ago today, and I’m clearly still not over it.

A Moebius: Empire Rising post written at fricking midnight

Cause I suddenly remembered that this game exists and it said gay rights.

And yeah that fic I'm finally writing is about this cause why not.

But here are my random thoughts about Malachi x David cause I need some content with them but the tag is so empty D:

- David is the embodiment of the bro meme and r/suddenly gay

David "You got a problem with me? Kiss me on the lips, bro" Walker

- Malachi is trying his best at this romance thing but he just sounds like an alien.

"Let's, how do you say it, spoon"

- And the obvious trope would be for David to be the disaster so deeply in love and for Malachi to be completely oblivious, but it's actually the other way round. Kinda.

- so basically David is a functional gay while Malachi is a disaster bi, who didn't know he was a disaster for so many years cause he hadn't had a serious crush before (cause he's demiromantic. Very demiromantic. 'I'll feel something for you only if we form a strong bond before and also if your name is David Walker' demiromantic)

- They are both pining losers but it ain't David's first rodeo so he manages not to lose his mind over a crush

- meanwhile Malachi is slowly going insane and googling 'i think i like someone' 'how to deal with infatuation' 'how to stop being a pitiful excuse for a functional human being'

- it's insufferable for everyone around (Gretchen wants to do something but decides to just wait and see what happens) (spoiler: for a long time nothing happens)

And the rest will be in my fic hopefully so imma just leave this mess of a post here and go to sleep lmao

Random Moebius drabble

“I’m just… scared. I’m scared that I’m toxic, and I know that I don’t deserve you, because I’m a total asshole.”

“You used to be”, David mutters, tracing his finger along Malachi’s jaw. “But you’ve improved a lot. It’ll be okay.”

Malachi smiles, but it doesn’t reach his eyes.

“I love you, David”, he whispers. “I’ve never been that sure of anything. I love you, and I don’t want to make you miserable.”

“I love you too, Kye.” David moves closer and places a soft kiss on Malachi’s lips. “And with you I’m as far from being miserable as possible.”

Malachi’s seizures are often accompanied by strange dreams.  For reasons he hasn’t been able to determine yet, David seems to be the only person capable of pulling him quickly out of this terrifying state.
