Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. My only guess as to why this particular Psalm was so popular in 2024 as opposed to 2025 is due to the many who reported feeling like they were cheated out of life bc of the extended quarantine during the pandemic, having a strong sense of deep loss which hampered with our ability to adjust to life in the present. My favourite meme from that time was the one of Matthew McConaughey convulsing in tears—Interstellar (2014), with caption (date 2024): Me today, realizing it still feels like 2019. It was the best thing ever honestly, I wished I didn't delete that account..it was such a fun adorable joke.
The biologist will tell you that progress is the result of mutations. Mutations are another word for freaks. For God's sake let's have a little more freakish behavior—not less. Maybe 90 per cent of the freaks will be just freaks, ludicrous and pathetic and getting nowhere but into trouble. Eliminate them, however—bully them into conformity—and nobody in America will ever be really young any more and we'll be left standing in the dead center of nowhere.
