(5 Feb '26) Hello! I know this is a bit out of the blue, but I believe you might be the person who uploaded the 1909 Arsene Lupin play to the Internet Archive; is that correct? If so, I just want to say BLESS YOU AND YOUR WHOLE HOUSEHOLD! I have been having a real devil of a time trying to find a copy of this play in English, and so far your upload has been the only one online. Thank you so much for making my search possible.

Incredibly I barely have a cough. I don’t know how I’ve dodged that, I am Velcro for coughs.

​I think persistant cough might have been the wrong word choice? It’s certainly not going away, but it’s not very frequent. Just every so often there’s stuff in my throat and I have to cough for a bit to try and clear it. And as I said, it also happens when I try to say I’m feeling better.

Today has been a good day.

my copout answer to this question is that i’m not a military historian & don’t know shit about weapons im sorry

10. What pieces of art (i.e. paintings, sculpures, lithographies, etc.) related to history do you like the most?

i’m not v familiar w medieval art so i have to go back to Classics for these but definitely the winged nike of samothrace and the altar of pergamon! 

15. Were the history classes taught in an interesting way in your school, college, or university? What would you do to improve them if you were the teacher/lecturer?

i definitely credit having really good teachers/lecturers w the fact i continued with history - and my supervisor is a really good undergrad lecturer but if i was gonna nitpick his courses i’d say greater interaction w students at undergrad & more discussion/engagement with the material? he v much has a ‘stand up the front & talk for an hour’ approach to teaching. most of the rest of my degree i just cross-credited from Classics, which tends to be a small and close-knit discipline at any university so it was a different experience

20. Who, if anyone, is your historical crush?

honestly idk if i have any?? i have a lot of Faves but not really crushes per se

25. Who is the most overrated historical figure, in your opinion?

good question. this is honestly p tough bc a lot of historical figures are well known bc they were genuinely agents of major change in the world, & also my judgement is clouded by my own research interests, like, just bc i’m not interested in 20th c. history doesn’t mean ppl like hitler or churchill or jfk aren’t important historical figures? 

that being said tho, why is popular culture so obsessed w henry viii

3. What is your country most infamous for in history?

we’re not really infamous for anything on the world stage bc nobody knows we exist but y’know, colonialism, not good
