malcolm & cairo
when they first met malcolm couldn’t stand cairo tbh like her personality was too much for him and it rubbed him the wrong way. but after spending more and more time with her, he learned how to love all of her good qualities and he grew used to her personality and now it doesn’t even bother him.
malcolm and cairo’s families get along very well fortunately. after getting to know each other, they have conjoined family reunions and get togethers, which consists of hella people even if you’re just counting malcolm’s family. it makes malcolm really happy that their families get along so well, especially because his family didn’t care too much for any of his past significant others.
malcolm doesn’t really like wedding planning. he thinks it’s really tedious and annoying and he hates focusing on tiny details like what color the napkins should be. but if cairo asks for his help or opinion, he doesn’t hesitate to give it to her, even if he disagrees with something she picks or plans.
when their first kid is born, malcolm wants to name them hassan if it’s a boy or zenaye if it’s a girl. those were his grandparents’ names and he was really close to them before they passed away and he wants to pass their names down to his kids.
sade & asiah
sade honestly had a crush on asiah back when they were young and they were both awkward looking af. it was definitely one of those types of crushes where they both busted each other’s balls on a daily basis in school but it was all from a place of affection.
sade’s brothers fucks so heavy with asiah. they think he’s a cool ass dude and they actually approve of him, unlike all of her past significant others. they approve of him, but her father doesn’t lmao he thinks she can do better but sade doesn’t care and she knows asiah doesn’t either so she doesn’t pay her dad any mind
sade gets jealous as fuck and over the littlest things. like if she catches a girl’s voice in the background of asiah’s snaps when he says he’s going out with his friends, she immediately jumps to the worst possible idea and that leads to an argument when he gets home which usually ends in sade looking dumb af
ever since the first time asiah let her do his hair, sade’s been offering to do it all the time. not to save him money on getting it down by someone else, but because she likes doing it and she thinks it gives them time to bond more, even thought they already spend a lot of time together.
