malcolm didn’t even want to go on this bullshit trip, he was forced onto it and paid onto it through his father. even if he applied they never would’ve accepted him, his reputation and impulsive behavior making him the poster boy of everything the school didn’t want to be represented. he never even filled out the application, because when daddy throws enough money at it why would he need to? it was better to come and waste some of his time then deal with his fathers wrath, he had dealt with that enough and knew he would deal with more in the future, so might as well give himself a break from it for now.
he was dreading the trip, knowing he had to be on a bus was one thing but seeing who was on the bus with him was even worse. no one worth noting, the only one he recognized was one he wished he didn’t, and he ignored immediately as he resigned himself to a seat alone in the very last row.
when they pulled up to the school it seemed like a miracle, he didn’t have to go on the trip and didn’t have to deal with the consequences of not going either. it seemed finally the world was going his way, but of course it couldn’t be so simple, it could never be so simple.
he strutted off the bus with swagger, wide awake and excited to get back to his regular life, already thinking of the things he was going to miss this weekend and now got to be apart of. back to your regularly scheduled viewing, his mind read as he practically bounced off the bus, stretching his arms out. “well i don’t know about you guys but i sure as hell am glad that’s done with. i can not wait to sleep in my own bed and hope that shitty bus didn’t fuck up my back too much.” he bitched.
