...Suzuki-kun. I wanted to apologise for leaving so suddenly yesterday. I hope I didn't offend or anything.
Oh Shingetsu-san! Nah, don’t worry about it. It wasn’t even rude, you excused yourself an’ everythin’! If anything, I’m sorry if I said anythin’ that upset you.
About your offer...maybe I will try camping. I suppose it's not good to keep myself indoors all the time anymore.
Well whenever ya do, you know who to ask! And yeah, fresh air is really good for ya. I ain’t even just saying this, apparently they did studies and everythin’.
They did. I just didn't get much of a chance to go outside...though now that I things are different I want to at least attempt things I never could before. I truly don't know what I've missed out on.
Ah I see. Well, we might wanna wait until the air freshens up a little bit. But I’ll make sure you get to experience more cool stuff!
Oh, how about I give you one of my guides? That way you can read up on it if that’s what you want! And it can give you an idea of what to expect, and heck, even choose activities that you wanna do most?
Plannin’s part of my shtick too, so it makes it easier on me, or you if you wanna help me me plan a camping trip. That’s also good experience I’d say!
I see...what activities do you recommend I look at as a beginner?
Since you’re beginning, it might be easier on lower, flatter grounds... so maybe more sportsy stuff.
Ball games, races, those are easier there and more fun. But, closer to a forest, we can do more technical stuff. Scouting, mapping, identifying animals and plants. It’s harder to pitch a tent in forest grounds though.
I see...I think I'd prefer the forest activities, I'd be willing to accept that it'll be harder to pitch a tent. After all, you'd be there if I was really struggling.
Heh, true! I thought you’d like that more, yeah. There’s quite a few forests I knew like the bad of my hand before this whole mess, we can probably go with your friends there after the tragedy’s done and over with...
Speaking of, where are you going after this? I understand none of you really had homes to come back to... although Kemuri and Daimon have been adopted by foundation members.
We were told if we found someone that we'd like to adopt us, we were to let them know. Utsugi-san seems to have met somebody she likes, and I know Daimon-kun and Kemuri-kun are happy with their parents...
I worry about the choice I’ll have to make. I don't know what to consider when deciding.
There’s a whole lotta people here, yeah.
But if you can’t make a choice, I’m always prepared to have a guest with me. At least until you find someone you can really trust, yeah? Izayoi was supposed to watch over you and Utsugi-chan, maybe you can get to know him better after the big mission. He’s plenty smart and diligent, I’m sure you two could get along.
He doesn't seem the parental type. I think I need someone who is a little more open than Izayoi-kun...
...would you really be okay with...the idea of me picking you?
Huh!? Ah geez, I’m super flattered an’ all, but... you sure? I’m not saying I mind, but...
Well, I guess I just didn’t expect it. (Ah man, I’m gonna have to raise a kid... Nothin’ I can’t handle but man life sure is full of surprises). Sorry I shouldn’t look so indecisive, I’ll be blunt!
Yeah, that’s perfectly okay! I promise I’ll be a good adoptive dad.
You just...I think you're the exact opposite of me, and I think that's what I need. You're experienced everything I never got to...
Th-then, if you're okay with it. Thank you, Suzuki-kun.
If you’re sure, then I can’t argue with ya! I only have one rule, Shingetsu-san.
No matter what, always tell me what ya think. We’ve lead different lives, that’s pretty obvious, which means I can’t tell where your boundaries are. I’ve got thick skin, so any criticism you got, just tell it like it is.
I understand, I think. I'll make sure to remember to communicate, though forgive me if it takes a while to get used to it.
No problem! It’s also on me not to overwhelm ya, so I’ll do my best too.
Good. I think I'm looking forward to it.
