#malec crossover

Crossover encore!

We are doing an encore and turning this into a crossover weekend. BUT, this is excluding the shadowhunter/TMI universe completely. The characters have to exist, and only ever have existed!!! in another universe. What fandom are you throwing them at?

(Since I already did Pokemon), I'm throwing everyone into The Walking Dead universe. Apocalyptic setting without any special powers, found family and lots of chances to be a badass. (would change the one-hit-kill walker bite effectiveness. my zombie bites could be survived - without cutting off limbs - given the right circumstances) (Also, I wouldn't be killing any kids. I do not care about how "realistic" it is for all my favorite characters and children to survive such a setting. It's zombies. They aren't realistic in the first place, so I have absolutely no obligation towards realism whatsoever. 🤣 )

I mean, Magnus and Alec fighting through a horde of demons has its appeal, but them cutting and slicing and gludgeoning their way through a horde of zombies could be interesting, too!

If Malec were characters in other universes,

-and had always been part of those universes (so no canon Malec portal hopping or any such thing)(they may replace main characters or exist alongside them), I would like to see them in:

The Witcher.

Marvel

DC

The Walking Dead

Cop Show (criminal minds, the rookie, hawaii 5-0,etc)

Stranger Things

Buffy the vampire slayer

Harry Potter

Lord of the Rings

Grimm

Game of Thrones

It's crossover sunday Tuesday! Look at your movie collection and choose 1! movie to use for a crossover. Both fusion (both sets of characters from both universes exist) or exchange-program (one set of characters replaces the other set of characters in that universe) are a go.

Men In Black. exchange-program style. Shadowhunter characters are the MIBs. Magnus and some of his friends are aliens seeking sanctuary on earth, because some overlord alien bad guy is trying to either eliminate or enslave their species for their incredible healing powers. Their species has always been rare, but now even fewer remain.

Tell me about your Malec crossovers

Any crossover thoughts? Like, is there a series/movie you would like to crossover with Shadowhunters, and especially Magnus and Alec? Would you be thinking of a true merging of the two different universes, 'Fish out of water' style? (example, Pokemon: Rogue portal transports Malec into the world of Pokemon, and what the hell is this?) XD

Or would you just use a set of characters from the one medium in the other medium, like they have always been part of it? (example, Witcher: Geralt is a shadowhunter and Jaskier is a Seelie and at some point Geralt comes to NY and trains Alec and the others and Jaskier and Magnus have been friends for years.)

Or completely replace one set of characters with the other. (example, Marvel: Super Soldier Alec Lightwood and tech genius billionaire Magnus fight as part of a team of the world's mightiest heroes)
