I need your help Shadowhunters family.

First, my name is Megan, a friend of Riley’s. I need your help, more importantly, Riley needs your help.

As you probably know, Riley passed away due to complications of cancer. She was an amazing person and an amazing Shadowhunters fan, helping fans who couldn’t watch the show by uploading the episodes - purchasing the HD season from iTunes and spending countless times uploading them.

She also helped fans in need off line, helping raise money for people in need, homeless and sick.

After her passing, her family - stepfather and brother- were only able to give her the bare minimum of funeral services - an unimpressive casket and no headstone, flowers, or memorial.

I’m asking for help. I’m asking for donations to give her a headstone. The lowest price in the area is $220.

I believe doing this will thank Riley for all that she’s done, give her family and friends something tangible to remember her by and show how lovely and important and loved she was on here as well.

So please, if you can at all help with donations- donate, share, ask others for their support- I know Riley would be thankful for helping her family and showing her the love she herself gave to every one she met.

Last Saturday evening, she got into an accident that left her with a broken jaw and 32 stitches on her cheek and under her ear. Due to tight circumstances, she cannot afford the painkillers that her doctor prescribed for her, and she has been experiencing excruciating pain for the past few days. With partial payment from insurance and selling some stuff, there’s $50 left that she need to afford the painkillers.

raising money for donations

Hey guys! So I saw @malecislovely do this on their blog, and since this is something I’ve kinda done already I thought I’d do something similar.

A short background on what’s happening, @takemystrengthtoo has been having really serious health issues and her fiance, Bradly, and her nephews are unable to be with her at this critical point in time. You can read more about it on her blog, or for easy reading here and here

So I have a redbubble account, what I’ve already done is that I donated all the money I have gotten thus far ($3.47) from the sales of my art. Here’s a screenshot:

What I’ll be doing is that for any further purchases come in, I will also be donating it to their family until further notice.

If you look carefully in the left corner, it looks like Maryse is there, too. You see a woman (because of the heels) with a wedding ring.

it would absolutely make sense that she’s there as well but you can’t say for sure that’s why i haven’t mentioned her in my post

UPDATE: Riley (malecislovely) is able to get her prescribed medicine!

For those of you who are unaware, here is the original post about the situation.

With all your donations, we were able to raise the money needed for Riley’s painkillers! She’s finally able to rest and sleep properly without any pain, thanks to all of your help 😊
