Hells, he hadn't sounded too desperate, had he? Serendipity had certainly felt desperate when he'd asked, and couldn't deny the hopeful twinge in his voice. Embarrassment threatens to take him over; in a moment he's contemplating how to backtrack this particular request --
then Kycius is tilting his chin up towards them, smiling at him so sweetly. The bard's heart flutters at the brush of their tail around his calf. The kiss on the forehead and a promise for more leaves him reeling; he blinks up at Kycius for a moment, struggling to grasp the thoughts that had left him in an instant.
" Right, " Serendipity says, voice cracking ever so slightly. Clearing his throat, he shakes his head, and gives Kycius a nod. " Yes! They're making -- quite a bit of headway -- we, have work to do! "
