His bed was beyond comfortable, despite his refusal to leave, which made the power outage in her side of the lair less infuriating. Less infuriating until morning, at least.
“We still have to work, Shego,” Drakken whined, shaking her awake. “Even if there’s no heat in the lab.”
Impulsively, she feigned a cough.
“Can’t,” she lied, “I’m sick.”
“You are not!”
“Yeah, I am.” She cracked one eye open to glance at him. Early morning scruff worked for him.
“You are too,” she declared, pulling him back into bed to do what two adults sharing a bed ought to do.
