OC Deep Dive - Alex

- what common/uncommon fear do they have?
Alex has a big fear of loosing control and unpredictability. Ever since her embrace, Alex has been hit over and over with unpredictable scenarios that have led to very nasty consequences for her, leading her to straight up fear unpredictability. As for loosing control, she just feels a very strong dissonance between herself and her vampiric instincts/the beast, which makes her fear her own actions, especially when they result in harming someone else. She is young, she accepted the embrace without knowing what it meant to be a malkavian, she hurt people and she cant trust herself. All she can do is keep as much control over herself as she can.
Ah yes, she also has a fear? Distrust? Of nosferatu because she got hunted down by one while she was alive (she will get over it with age i prommy, but for now she doesnt trust them at all)
- do they have any pet peeves?
She has many pet peeves, some of them relating to her derangements. One of which is sounds. She suffers from misophonia and certain sounds really tick her off: high pitched sounds/voices, the sound if chewing, the sound of paper being ripped, etc... Granted, not all of these sounds tick her off all the time, her current mood influences what ticks her off a lot.
Another pet peeve of hers is not being believed on account of being a malkavian. Granted, people try to hide their disbelief from her most of the time, but she can still sense it and she hates it.
Same goes for people thinking she's unreliable or a liability just because of her clan. Kindred tend to be much more obvious about this one and its the easiest way to make her despise you.
- what are 3 items you can find in their bedroom?
A framed polaroid of her and Arno (her Toreador friend), a pile of shame/unread books, a box containing a fountain pen (a gift from her father)
- what do they notice first in a person?
The first thing she notices in people is their outfit/their demeanor. By that i mean how they carry themselves, their body language. She does it almost instinctively and uses it as a point of confront with the personality they show while speaking, her way of stripping them of their masks.
- on a scale from 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance?
7, she can get pretty hurt before breaking, physically speaking, but once the pain threshold has been met, even the smallest thing will be extremely painful for her.
- when under pressure do they go fight, flight, freeze or fawn?
I dont think its right to say she only does one, but there is a certain order of preference to how she acts.
The most common is Flight -> Fawn -> Freeze -> Fight, but it honestly really varies from situation to situation. Usually, tho, Flight is her go-to
- how would a stranger likely describe them?
'Way too chill about her unlife' - 'very naïve about the whole kindred ordeal' - 'knowing her sire, i feel pity for her' - 'lets hope she doesnt turn out like Stefano' - 'she doesnt look too deranged for living with her sire, but you know malkavians' - 'you mean Arno's malkavian crush?' - 'ah. Stefano's brat. You know what they say: like sire like childe'
- do they have any hobbies?
Alex loves to read and listening to true crime podcasts, also she's BIG on gossiping, especially with her sire. She also goes clubbing from time to time, but most times when she goes out she hangs with Arno, either at his apartment or at his bar
