#mall outing

My mother took me with her to the mall and I had an amazing time. She took me on the carousel for the first time which I liked, but she made me sit with her. At least I can be like all the other kids now. I will now force her to let me go on it EVERY time.

I’ve taught my teenager that I work with a lesson about not stealing. She struggles in a lot of social situations, and I had to tell her that it’s not okay to walk away with a ring, even if it’s from the 99 cents store. Anyways, we were doing a social outing at the mall today and we were in Francesca’s. Her Mom was checking out and J and I were waiting with her Mom in line. She looks straight at me, and in the clearest voice she can muster up, she says, “DO NOT STEAL.” At this point, all the employees in the store are giving me dirty looks. I was dying of laughter. I didn’t even know what to say. Needless to say, we left that store quickly. I have the best job in the world, even if it’s awkward at times lol.

Yesterday at the mall, there was a kiosk (a booth, if you're not familiar with that word) that was selling some thing or another and as usual, my attention went to the lovely guy with the equally as lovely accent that literally called out to me. He asked if my nails were natural (they are, I haven't worn fake ones in years) and then proceeded to do his little thing with his product - a buffer with three sides that reportedly makes your nails shiny and smooth for two weeks, no matter what you put your hands through. 

Eh, I had nothing to lose, so I went for it. It quite literally looks like my nail has a coat of clear polish on it, but it doesn't.. and it's gorgeous. xD The shine should go away on Halloween if it works as well as he says.

Challenge accepted.

Dude, if this works as well as he says.. I'm sold. (I love doing my own nails, even though the polish and remover stinks like hell.)

Mall Outing || Santana&Rachel

Conflict seemed to be a daily part of Rachel’s life now, but the type she felt right then was a tad more apprehensive than she would have liked. One Santana Lopez had not only taken a stab at Rachel’s admittedly inflated self-esteem (although lately it’d been taking a nose-dive) but also given her hope that, through means of this miraculous makeover, maybe she’d become more appealing.. Especially to the one she wanted to notice it the most. Dismissing the thoughts before they made her mood anymore sour, Rachel approached her closet and quickly changed into a simple pink-and-blue striped button-up and a matching dark-blue pleated skirt. She tugged a similarly colored pea-coat over the entire outfit as a whole and toed on a pair of matching leggings to complete the outfit and combat the chilly outside. Pleased with her appearance in the mirror, Rachel carefully brushed out long brunette locks and fitted a simple pink headband on top of her head.

Perhaps in a bit of a rush now, Rachel slipped on her wedges, grabbed her purse containing the money for the outing, and headed toward the exit of her and Quinn’s dorm. She paused beside the door where, on the entryway mirror, she’d placed a tiny, gold star sticker to remind her before she left to always shine no matter where her ventures took her. She kissed the tip of her pointer finger and pressed it to the star before heading out completely, half-trotting down the long hallway as she headed toward the front of the school. Hopefully Santana wouldn’t have been waiting too long. The cold was just as biting as Rachel’d imagined it would be as she got dressed, and she crossed her arms lightly over her chest to keep it out, eyes scanning the greenery in search of Santana.
