“What an insane turn out,” Casper smirked slightly as hundreds of people flocked to find seats and a good view of the parade. The last time that he saw his sister, Rowan as well, the wounds from the contagion were still fresh on his mind. Since then, the original had been able to swallow more of it and be able to enjoy his time by their side. He focused more on work than play, spending more at home than out, and rarely found himself stepping out to be seen. Managing like this seemed to be easier and for the first time in years, Casper really allowed himself to take things a little bit slower. Things weren’t perfect as far as romantic relations go, but today wasn’t about things of that nature and he was happy to see the rainbow banners that proudly were proudly displayed on each buildings corner. Although there were still a few moments of thinking about retreating, the fact alone that the original would be spending majority of his day with his siblings and supporting them was worth it. “They might as well shut down the whole city,” he stated while his fingertips found the loose bits of hair and eased them back into place.

Even with the five years that separated the two siblings, there had always been a lot of similarities between Mallory and Casper. A cool-headed attitude had always been on of them and the original looked forward to spending a bit of time with his sister. It was needless to say that she had always been the one to keep him in line, having more good flowing through her than Casper dreamed of. So while he may have wanted to take the events that were unfolding against their family and stay out of it, the original knew that couldn’t be the opinion and thought it best to start with Mallory. She was, in fact, practically in charge of kingdom they had built. Everything was in place, from the freshly filled blood bar in the corner of the room to glasses freshly washed, Casper made sure all her favorites were in place and waited to greet her at his door.

Relief fell over the original as he approached his sisters apartment, engine making it’s usual purr as Casper found a place to park and made his way in. In all honesty, it came as surprise that out of all the siblings, Mallory ended up being the one he found safe refuge after this most recent storm. Usually when Casper needed to be bailed out, the original called one of his brothers to keep himself from being slightly lectured. He was greeted by some usual faces within the lobby, most knowing the entire Bordeaux family, so there was no need to even ring in. Making his way up the stairs and to her door, Casper did his usual scrap with two knocks to notify her that he had arrived.
