haunted halloweek || masquerade ball outfit → nic rogers

call me, beep me, if you wanna reach me--nic has opted to go as one of the best cartoon characters of all time: kim possible. and who is kim without ron? thankfully she roped in her roommate Bennett to joining her on this adventure--what a guy right? 

halloween is about being anyone you want to be though, right? at least, that’s what ruby says. so, thanks to ruby and her persuasive reasoning (and make over abiltiies), nic rogers is not only going to be wearing a costume during the halloween day but she will actually be dressing up for the masquerade ball. but nic is not completely overpowered--she’ll still be rocking her chucks under the dress (much to the chagrin of ruby). after all, if she’s going to be standing all night in a dress, she might as well be somewhat comfortable.

flip’s halloween costume: james dean, rebel without a cause.

it’s a bold choice. quite daring, really, taking on a... tough persona with a soul so soft around its edges. with hair slicked back and a fake cigarette tucked behind his ear, flip looks akin to the real deal.

only the gentle are ever really strong.

Pride Prom || Lia Barnes →

Lia has been dreaming about Prom since middle school--though she hadn’t actually started planning prom until around her sophomore year. As with all things Miss Barnes does, everything was intentional, especially the dress. Lia and Jack had picked the color scheme of their evening out together that year, but she picked her dress--and told no one. Not a single soul has ever seen this dress--and not a soul was going to, she thought. Never in her life was she more pleased that she had kept her dress all these years. The dress is a complete 180 from the ones she had worn for her pageants, and that was on purpose. First and foremost, she got to pick her dress, not her mother. She had picked a ballroom gown, one that didn’t hug her curves the way the other dresses did. She had wanted to feel different when she entered her prom, not as if she was on stage for all to see. She liked the way this dress fell around her, like she was floating. It was comfortable and it made her feel..well, like an actual princess. She couldn’t bear the idea of parting with it, and she’s glad she didn’t. This is by far her favorite dress, and she cannot wait to finally wear it to a dance. 

For this prom, she had decided to keep it simple, letting her dress shine more than the other pieces of her outfit. Her hair in loose curls, a few gems for a pop, her shoes simple and basic and her make up the same. The whole look was supposed to be a unlike anything she’d wear on a stage--it was supposed to be a better representation of who she was. And sure, if her dress looks like Cinderella, that was absolutely on accident...right?

we at the hotel, motel, holiday inn--or not. lia, not once in her life, ever thought she’d be attending a signing party--and certainly never in miami, florida. but as most things in her life, she is plesantly surprised at the chance to participate. plus, she’d never give up a chance to celebrate and support @moirasvnchez​ in all her endeavors. truth be told, she’s a little nervous to be wearing this outfit. she’d usually never show this much skin nor would she go as far as to (completely temporarily) dye her hair pink. but she’s...expanding her brand, as she’d overheard some people say a few days ago. and since moira is often the one at the helm of her doing so, she felt that choosing some risks would be the perfect way to celebrate her big accomplishment.

Nic Rogers || Pride Prom →

For some, Prom might be a princess moment--not Nic Rogers. Nic had never felt a particular draw toward royalty--well, maybe Mia Thermopolis but even that wasn’t traditional. No, our infamous fashion faux pas has instead chosen to channel her inner Bond Girl. For once in her life--or maybe thrice (high school prom and wedding before this), the woman actually put effort into her outfit. And why shouldn’t she? It wasn’t often she got to dress up in a gown and heels. Even if it took about a million years to figure out her shoes. Thanks to @bicncasalazar, her make up doesn’t look like a complete disaster. Nic didn’t have a complete plan for her outfit in terms of intentionality. Her only goal was to find something comfortable and look damn good wearing it. And if if it gave some major badass woman vibes, an added bonus.

“Oh, well--you wouldn’t be really be interested in that whole thing, would you?” Lia laughed, shaking her head. “I usually wake up at 5am--its so early, I know, but most days Mr. Worthington likes me in the office by 6:30 at the latest because he has a very particular way he likes his office set up. Anyways, 5am wake up a call, go through my morning routine--wait, wait, would it be easier if you just saw my bullet journal? I couldn’t live without it--here, let me just pull it up for you.”
