🐅 - what’s your favorite thing about your muse? | 🎡 - what have you done to the character to make them unique to you? | 🌟 - just want to let you know that I appreciate you, and love you
🐅: His surfboard. That thing is sick. But no really, I love his spirit and his strength. Writing those aspects of him inspire me as a person to be better and stronger.
🎡: A lot of his background and history make him very unique to me. I don’t want to spoil anything here but Maltharesh has done and been through more than most in his near-300 years of life. But specifically the style of his combat is something I really get a fresh kick out of every time I write it.
🌟: Thanks babe, same to you. <3
What a Malth song
Tell us about Maltharesh's friend, Vynethiel! You've mentioned him a few times
Vynethiel is possibly the singular most trustworthy person Malth has in his life, both of those lads having been fast friends since the beginning of their childhoods. Both of them operate within the Bloodwatch Order, having undergone the same exact training and military work aside from Vynethiel’s actual qualification as a Spellbreaker which is something Malth is both jealous of and hesitant to talk about. There’s barely anything the two don’t know about each other and both of them would kill or die to make sure they could live to fight another day. To see them both working as a unit in battle is a sight to behold; magic lashing against reality like arcane storms while blades rend flesh and roars of battle-magic fill the field with their crackling power.

❀ - Fact about the muse: More for @mage-of-blades
Maltharesh can’t get enough of Highborne, viewing them as otherworldly beings incarnate. They’re celebrities and royalty to him, living relics of an ancient and golden age. Though he doesn’t know much, he’s been led to believe that they knew the most anyone could know about magic. His studies have garnered him tiny glimpses into their primal and derelict forms of spellcraft, just enough to keep him interested. If he ever met one, it would take some kind of divine intervention to silence his flowing questions of Azeroth, Elvenkind, Zin-Azshari, and everything else. To make a long story short, he’s a massive Highborne nerd and fanboy.
✿ - Fact about the mun:
As of writing this, I could just curl up and pass out for a week but hey. I guess I’m a really sleepy person. Nothing more comfy than a warm bed and a bunch of blankets/pillows. Even better with someone else to fill up the extra space, someone to make warmth with. I think that’s it for me, though. Goodnight tumblr.

❀ - Fact about the muse: For @mage-of-blades.
There’s a reason Maltharesh lives on the beach and built his home on Azurebreeze Coast’s golden sands and high tides. While he loves fishing, swimming, and diving through the nearby reefs, his true passion of the sea is the art of surfing. He fashioned a light, magical wooden board to use for the hobby and spends a lot of his free time riding the waves from coast to coast. His longest ride was from the waters of his home to the northern shore of Quel’danas.
✿ - Fact about the mun:
I’m actually from Hawai’i, one of the biggest surfing spots in the world. Being a Native Hawaiian as well, it was in my nature to seek out the waves and learn how to ride them. I love the beach a lot and wish I could take everyone home with me to spend some time there. My island is somewhere I always miss, no matter where I am. The sea-salt is in my veins and the black sands are in my skin. If you ever get the chance, don’t miss out on going to Hawai’i. It’s worth every dollar, for every moment.
Much love for the ask, Myrr. <3

Two head canons you have for your muse:
He absolutely despises most magic-users for how they use their craft rather than magic itself. This includes an intense hatred for demons, warlocks, necromancers, and all their malicious ilk. Though he’s not beyond tolerating them for the sake of law and maintaining order, he often bites his tongue while in the presence of the more stereotypical magi of Quel’thalas. Though a mage himself, he considers battle-magic to be a different art and his original training as a Spellbreaker only strengthens his beliefs. In addition, he considers magic to be a sorely abused medium of easy power and cites its reckless wielders as the constant cause of catastrophe in Azeroth. Again and again, he watches people sour magic and tear things apart.
Though his deployment southward to the human lands was something of a hell to endure, he returned home with a companion unfamiliar to Thalassian lands; a DOG. Named after her owner, Charlie became one of his closest if not most adored comrades. She was small enough to ride in his saddle bags but large enough to fill up his lap. Using magic and a ritual of binding, he’s managed to keep her alive throughout his many years and the two still remain kindred spirits. With Charlie now a full-grown hound, Maltharesh is a proud pack-leader to his brown and gray Lordaeron Shepard.
Three things that your muse likes doing in their free time:
The moment Maltharesh finishes his rounds, investigations, or desk work he escapes into Eversong and loses himself in the woods with Charlie in tow. Part of him thinks he was meant to be a Farstrider and the wilds burn in his blood. Most of his time out in the forest is spent wandering among the flora and fauna, gathering interesting herbs and leaving his runic ‘M’ on the trunks of trees to guide himself back and forth. Thus far he’s explored a great deal of his homeland, the entire province almost completely mapped out per his personal goal. Ventures into the Ghostlands also cross his mind, but seldom happen as much as he’d like.
Even though he has a rank to maintain as Knight-Commander of the Bloodwatch, Maltharesh enjoys what parties he can attend to the most wholesome extent. Reserving himself to weekends, the officer makes sure to spare no expense in getting out of his mind and losing himself in whatever debauchery he can wrap himself around for a few hours. He finds comfort in company, especially when he spends so much time alone on patrols.
Reading, though rarely for entertainment. A simple spell suspends all of his studies and materials mid-air for the duration of his readings which are always accompanied by fervent practice and intense focus. Where one part of his life is dedicated to the work of his body, the other part is equally imperative to the strength of his mind. Magical theory, history, modern craft, and the evolution of spellspeech are some of his favorite subjects. Combined with his love of the wilds, he prefers to study outside of the city and within a hidden copse tucked deep inside of the woods.
Two things your muse regrets:
Maltharesh tries to live without regrets, but many things worm their way into the chinks of his armored spirit. One of the most significant regrets in his life is his perceived neglect of his sister. He blames himself for lacking presence in her life while he was off fighting wars and defending his country. Family and those he loves are always more important than the needs of his job or duty of his rank. Maltharesh thinks that he allowed her to fall into the clutch of demons by being unable to guide her away from warlockery, which has undoubtedly formed a rift between both siblings. Within the constant state of conflict, the two often find an eye of their storm and briefly come to terms over a gentle lunch or quiet conversation only for things to go mad quickly after.
He certainly regrets his failure in his ambition of becoming a Spellbreaker. The details of why he never became one are vague and mysterious, the entire scenario covered in black ink that not even he enjoys shedding light on. Most people in his company only know that there was a dispute between he and his Master which led to a grave falling out and a great deal of missing people. The case is considered cold to this day, a fact that bothers Maltharesh each time he opens his eyes in the morning as his head abandons the pillow beneath it.
Two phobias/fear your muse has:
The dark, in that he becomes anxious and horrified without any source of light. He sleeps with a glowing shard nearby at all times and always has a means of illumination on his person whenever the shadow of a new moon falls over Quel’thalas. Blinding spells and other effects that completely darken his vision terrify him to no end, filling him with a profound dread and a nauseous feeling of endless sinking. If he ever laid eyes on the Void, he may as well die from shock then and there instantaneously.
Demonic possession as the foul runes carved into his palm and forearm dictate. Burned into him by his demonic and Orcish slavers during his second deployment to Outland, Maltharesh is bound to a demon soul much in the way that traditional Demon Hunters are sans any form of control. Should he ever lose himself to blind and unbridled rage, part of his mark will unlock and flood him with a potent dose of Fel power. In addition, each time this happens brings him a step closer to losing himself completely and permanently.

Werewolf:Is there anything about yourself you hide?
Maltharesh tends to hide a lot about himself, especially considering his rank and role in Silvermoon. Rarely does he let people beyond that stoic face or his badge of office, preferring to stay behind the shield they both provide while on duty or doing his job. However, in private or alone, Maltharesh tends to unfold like a book and open up to whoever he’s comfortable with.
More specifically, he hides a lot that happened to him in Outland; both when he followed Kael’thas and when he was re-deployed to do the exact opposite of his original assignment. A lot of dark, depraved trouble afflicted him the second time around and his skin still bears the tainted scars of what he endured.
