In which carriers learn to control their tempers... Well somewhat...
She admitted that their first exams could have gone a lot better.
Of course Dilophablade was as stressed as her hatchlings had been at the strange new mechs that lifted them onto strange hard tables, poking and manipulating their limbs and tails, and unsure of being out of familiar territory. That changed when needles suddenly became involved.
Bestiarius had scrambled away from the table as fast as his legs could carry him, seeking the protection of his carrier's arms with a growl and narrowed optics as he seeked comfort from her which she gladly gave.
Khutulun had tolerated it for a moment before she started showing her displeasure of the whole process. Even as a hatchling her teeth tore into the med assistant's servo easily enough leaving the medic to finish checking over Damascus himself while the assistant tended to his wound.
Matters after that spiraled out of control quickly when the medic suggested an age old Decepticon practice in dealing with disfigured newsparks.
Which now lead to their current predicament as carrier protocls came screaming to the front as sh hefted the medic into the air and slammed him against the wall pinning him by his throat cables, his pedes pedaling wildly.
“Itwasjustasuggestionididn't-” another growl from her silenced the medic as Predacon claws pressed against vital cables in his neck. “Ididntmeananythingbyit-”
Dilo snarled as she pulled him away from the wall, letting him dangle in her hold, her optics wild with anger as her claws gleamed on her other servo, poised to strike.
It was then did she feel it. At first it had been faint but now the frantic and terrified pulses bloomed faintly across her spark. It took a moment to register what as she glanced over her shoulder guard at her youngest.
Damascus was trembling from where he had pressed himself down against the surface of the table in an attempt to make himself look smaller from the loud scuffling his carrier was making, his kinked tail curled tightly against him as he tugged at their bond.
The sneer across her features lost its edge as she concentrated on sending soothing thoughts and reafirments across their bond, her hold on the medic loosing as she slowly lowered him to the ground.
The medic didn't try to hide his relief as his pedes touched solid floor. “If I even hear a whisper about I promise I will not be so forgiving....” Dilo growled as the medic slumped to the floor. Without another look she turned on her heel, her attention going to Damascus.
She wasted no time in gathering Damascus up into her arms, his spark beating frantically as he curled closer to his carrier's own thrumming spark, seeking comfort as his vents silently hiccuped. Dilo rumbled gently and her gently down his back as she slowly paced the medbay.
For several moments they lingered in the medbay, only when he was in a restless recharge with his head draped over shoulder did she dare return to her rooms, careful to keep her silent fuming from trickling into their bond and waking him and starting the process all over again.
Only after he was situated back in the nest with his siblings would she vent her frustrations.
The first thing that Dilophablade became aware of was this insistent chirping in her audial and soft nudging along her head.Grumbling she cracked opened an optic and was greeted by two pairs of hungry optics.
Dilo blinked as the the chirping grew louder at the success of waking their carrier. She vented a sigh as she reluctantly pulled a still recharging Damascus from her hold and stood slowly up, giving her frame a stretch as she stepped out of the nest.
Bestiarius and Khutulun milled about her feet, nearly tripping over her son as he cut in front of her and caught herself before she tumbled to the ground.
This was not going to work. She dipped her head as she gently grabbed Bestiarius by his scruff and deposited him back into the nest before turning to catch his sister.
He chirped as he made an attempt to climb out of the nest. Dilo turned and gave him a look laced with a deep rumble. That was enough of a warning as he ducked back down into nest. One down and one to go.
Khutulun again had other ideas as she clumsily scampered away with a growl.
This was going to be a long morning.
