I used to think there was just fat and skinny. But apparently there's lots of things that can be wrong on your body.

THG 30 Day Challenge; Day 2: Your Least Favorite Character.

Mama Everdeen. She clocks out on her fucking kids and leaves Katniss holding the bags to provide for herself, her mother and her young sister. Mothers--good ones--don't do that. Not even when your spouse dies. You mourn, pick up the pieces and find some way to go on, because you have kids. You have more than your life in your hands, more than yourself to keep alive. What if Katniss was sick, or disabled, or had no knowledge of how to hunt? What if Katniss had died in a hunting accident?

The whole family would have been damn screwed.

And as the sole child of a single parent (not widowed, but still single with a teenager) I do NOT appreciate that shit. Single parenting may be hard, but you take your circumstances and run with them. I take much offense to Mama Everdeen's clock-out, not because she clocked out, but because she clocked out and stayed that way for months on end.
