Two missed calls from my oldest girl greeted me after a great 3 hour studio class with a 45 minute lag behind to tidy up. I was renewed, engaged in my art and had completed my ENTIRE assignment due for Monday. When I get my girl on the phone she goes through her entire day. Tells me how she won a coding competition in first period, got to work on an abstract feline piece in Art, scored an A on a test in 3rd period the day was going great until she realized her lunch was missing. It had gone missing in first period. While she was up at the board (this in itself is a triumph!) While she was up at the board with her back turned to her stuff. While she was up at the board coding. While she was up at the board being a coding badass. Yes, while my coding badass daughter was not being shy someone stole her lunch bag. The full mama grizzly roared up in me. I was angry. I saw rage. The vein in my temple pulsated. My left eye started to throb. Then she said "My friend found my lunch bag in the girl's bathroom. I still had my sandwich but no drink or chips." My left eye throbbed a little less but I was still angry. All the way home I was thinking about making doo-doo pies, ex-lax brownies, sennekot cookies, colace caramels and other revenge foods. My husband (not normally known to be a Saint but does tend to bring me back down to earth) reminded me that it was not our way to seek revenge and the little starving tyrant child will earn their own doom in another way. Personally, I'm hoping for dysentery, Hepatitis A or some other fecal borne illness. I hope their parents buy the 1000 sheet Scott's double ply. #mamagrizzly #stolenlunch #rage #codingbadass #coding #iWishIWasMoreLikeAudrey
