when i get asked what my favourite season is, my mind immediately drift to summer time. but really it’s because it wants an easy way out after a long day. if i really think about it, i don’t think i can really choose. and i know for a fact that i can’t live in a country with just one season. i love all four seasons and the transitions, too. summer is pretty obvious: the sun, being a beach bum, girls in bikinis. autumn for the leaves turning all fiery coloured. spring for the happier faces because summer is coming. and winter? now, i can’t say that i love the cold or the red nose and cheeks. and christmas can be too much sometimes. but there’s one small non-activity that my father always does until today which reminds me that good time is coming: defrosting windshields. there’s no comparison to that feeling. and that can only happen in winter.
