hi!

my nickname is tsuki and i like to write! my absolute favourite favourite fandoms are sailor moon and atla. but i also like legend of zelda (esp ocarina of time and botw), danganronpa, fe:3h, omori, and pokemon. plus others.

like i said, i'm a writer, on ao3: seitsuki. i have multiple pseuds for multiple fandoms so feel free to subscribe to any if you're interested. i like to write seiya/usagi, minako/rei, mamoru/motoki from sailor moon and zuko/katara, toph/aang, suki/sokka, and other ships in atla. for other fandoms i'm into many a ships and a lot of them and i love crack and unpopular ships too so if you have any weird ones, i'm open to listening! (within reason fhds) some of those ships i haven't written for yet but... soon!!

been into ficdom since 2012, started writing in 2013, so i'm not new to fandom or tumblr at all. feel free to follow me if you're interested!

Heavenly Pearl's Fic Review 2022 - Pinkie Promise

The third and final fic I wrote for this year's Sailor Moon Rare Pair Week was "Pinkie Promise".

Summary: While on a beach vacation with his secret boyfriend Motoki’s family during summer break, Mamoru learns that the Furuhatas aren’t the perfect, happy family he always thought them to be. Pressure to take over the family business is weighing heavily on Motoki’s mind even as a first year in high school, but Mamoru encourages him to follow his own dreams.

Thoughts: Who's a fan of @soulfulweaver's beautiful artwork? I definitely am, and I especially love their Mamotoki fanart! Mamoru/Motoki wasn't really a pairing I considered or thought much about before discovering soulweaver's art, but I kinda fell in love with the idea of them through their artwork. Thus, this fic was born! This one was one of my tougher fics to write, I have to say, mainly because I struggled with Motoki's character. Since he doesn't have much of a personality in canon beyond being a nice guy, it was almost like writing an original character, which can be a blessing or a curse. I wanted him to be a recognizably younger Motoki, but to also give him some depth, so I decided he would have a bit of a strained relationship with his father, who wants him to take over the family businesses (the arcade and cafe), and be kinda irresponsible, in contrast to Mr. Responsibility, Mamoru. I also included Unazuki having a crush on Mamoru because I thought it was kinda funny for both siblings to have a thing for him.

To be honest, I wasn't that thrilled with how this fic turned out when I first posted it, but I just finished rereading it to gather my thoughts for this post, and it actually isn't as bad as I remembered. Maybe even kinda good? I think the frustration I felt at times while writing it colored my initial impression. I don't know. It was definitely one of my least popular fics this year, but I'm actually kinda surprised that it even has five kudos considering how rare a pairing Mamotoki is!
