Welcome
Hello! My name is Bruno Buccellati, and I'm a general manager at a local Panera Bread! I've been working for the company since I was in my early teens, and just haven't had the heart to leave as I've climbed the corporate ladder. Slowly. Slowly. Painfully slowly.
For those of you who may be unfamiliar with the restaurant chain, Panera Bread is a wonderful, friendly, casual, atmospheric fast food cafe. Many of our cafe's can be found littering the United States and other countries around the world, though, admittedly, I'm not really sure where all they can be found. We're best known for our calm dine-in experience, delicious pastries, and superbly-baked bread. Here at Panera, we pride ourselves on quality meals, made fresh for you and served with a smile. That's why my team and I have gone out of our way to provide you, the audience, with an easy way of contacting us here at the cafe.
Through this blog, you'll be allowed to ask any questions you may have about our establishment, whether it's about our menu, our cafe, or even certain members of staff. Though I'm the main administrator of the blog, you are more than welcome to ask questions of my assistant managers, Giorno Giovanna and Guido Mista, as well. I truly hope we can answer your questions to the fullest of their extent. It's a pleasure talking with you, and we hope to see you back in our cafe soon. Thank you!
~Bruno Buccellati
((Hi yes hello this is artist person number two speaking. This ask blog is actually a collaborative effort between two artists who have a serious love and affinity for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. As two Panera Bread employees, we often found ourselves wondering what it would be like if some of our favorite characters worked at our café, and couldn't help but laugh over some of the ridiculous situations we kept on imagining them in. This is how we've kind of been venting our work-related frustrations, and we thought it was funny enough to turn into a stupid, fun ask blog. It's made up mostly of shitposty art, silly doodles, and edits. We love our Panera boys very much please feed them lots of scones.
You're always more than welcome to ask us questions, too, though we do ask that these are directed to our main blogs pickle and hermit, just so it's easier to sift through everything in our inbox. You can also find some of our other art projects in those blogs! Thanks again for reading through this. We really do hope that you get a laugh or two out of this very, very silly concept. For all of you out there who have also sold your soul to Mother Bread, we especially hope that you enjoy this terror that we've produced. Now. Ask away!))
Who deals with difficult clients here?
Bruno: Well, it’s usually whoever the customer manages to speak to first, but in a lot of cases, they’ll ask to speak to a manager. In this case, myself, Giorno, or Mista would usually deal with them. One example I can think of…
Mista: Why….sir, I…. I can’t believe it… that idea is absolutely splendid! I’m so sorry that, even though we have regular sugar packets that are free, bountiful, and readily available, you have to suffer with the burden of being unable to put sugar cubes in your coffee and tea. In fact, there’s a Panera convention every year where they choose one manager from each store to share customer suggestions and complaints.
Mista: Mark my words, sir… If I ever get the blessed opportunity to go one year, I will make it my absolute top priority to share your idea first thing. Thank you for your sheer intellectual insight on the way we should be running our business.
Bruno: …..Now that I think about it, I should probably get him to stop telling customers that…..….and get him to stop violating dress code by wearing two hats…
Wait... If you still have stands... Do you use them to work faster? (Do they wear smol hats?)
Yes, they can come in quite handy during our jobs, though we try to use them where customers can’t see them (after all, it would be odd to see objects seemingly floating or whatever else the abilities entail)I most frequently use my zipper ability to move quickly around the restaurant and keep my employees in check.
They can also be a big help when doing our jobs, though!
Who do you manage over? And who works the register :0?
Well, I'm the general manager of this Panera location which means that I'm the manager of this store. My district manager, who is basically my direct boss, is a man known as Polpo. At my store, we have two assistant managers, Giorno and Mista. Since they’re managers, they’re trained in all positions and will go where they’re needed. The other positions vary; there are some who work on what we call "line", which is basically food production. We also have cashiers and others that work in the dining room to clean, restock beverage stations, brew coffee and teas, and do dishes. There are also a few other positions, such as prepping, catering, and baking (Our baker, Abbacchio, is a very fickle and picky man). Those that work our main daytime positions (line, cash, and dining room) are usually cross-trained, so they can work on various positions depending on what's needed of them, but since you asked about our cashiers, our best cashier is probably Trish. Our main dining room person is Fugo, though he's constantly threatening to quit, while Narancia usually works line. We, of course, have more than that in order to be a fully staffed store, but those are the faces you'll probably see most frequently, as they work the most hours.
Have you ever ran into a man named Doppio? Ever heard of him?
Bruno: ....Oh... Uh... Doppio...right... He-..
Mista: He’s that one weird guy that always comes in and talks to everything, then starts squealing about how he knows corporate. Like we’re gonna believe that!
Our cherished and devoted assistant managers, Guido Mista and Giorno Giovanna
