last message I promise! lol, just to clarify something. I'm not surprise that Minkey is popular elsewhere (b/c I can see that they have great chemistry) but I'm surprise that Jongkey isn't that popular in Korea. "I'm baffled to see that the 'topdog' (Jongkey) is actually the 'underdog'." I was referring to Jongkey.

Oh I know. I was just saying facts out of random. LMAO. If you know me, you'd get used to it. Hehe. 

Well, if you think about it, it's not that hard to believe at all. In Korea, it's normal for Jongkey to do what they do and not be seen as an intimate couple because Korean people like to express gratitude/their friendship differently from Western countries. They express it with hugs and friendly skinship. 

Real Korean couples are usually more, discreet and don't show their love towards each other as much because it's considered quite disrespectful to show a lot of public display of affection towards the public eye. That's why korean idols/actor(ess)/musicians/basically anyone who's famous, if they're in a relationship, it's very hard to find any of their moments. 

I hope I made sense. I sound like a human dictionary. T^T

Thanks for answering the question! I got to say I'm baffled to see that the 'topdog' (Jongkey) is actually the 'underdog'. And I guess I didn't word the question clear enough 'cause I wasn't questioning the truth to your statement but the source.

The sources are on Official Korean SHINee websites. Unfortunately, 98% of them are locked to their country so only Korean shawols can see them. Even if you do get inside one, understanding what's written is extremely difficult. Even translators won't help. 

And why are you so surprised? Just because internationally, Minkey is one of the underdogs (although our fanbase is we're growing as days passes), doesn't mean that they're not the most popular pairing in a certain country (or in this case countries).

Also, if you noticed, a lot Minkey translated interviews or moments often have broken English because Koreans or Thailand fans try to translate them themselves as best as they can. :)

Hey! I recently read your "110 Reasons Why I Love Minkey" (which was beautiful) and #89 says that Minkey is the most popular paring along with JongYu and 2Min in Korea. I'm having a hard time digesting this as I've always thought JongKey is more popular. I'm not speaking as a biased fangirl or anything, I actually find MinKey attractive and am aware of their increasing interactions over the years but is that true? that MinKey is that popular? this is quite wordy for a simple question isn't it?

Yes, they are. Everything that I wrote on the list is true. Facts. I wouldn't lie on that because how else will I convince people to ship Minkey if I wrote lies on that list? Hehe.

To be quite honest, Minkey, Jongyu and 2min are the most popular pairings in SHINee World Korea. Jongtae is quite popular as well as a side pairing too.

You would think that Jongkey is the most popular in Korea, since it is internationally, but they're actually quite low down on the list. Jongkey is popular the further you are away from Korea for some reason. I don't know why. :/

From what I know, and from what's obvious, Minkey are popular in Korea, Japan, parts of China and Thailand. Notice how countries closer to Korea ship one of the most degraded couple in the k-pop world? There must be a reason for this right? They must see things that international fans don't see. Especially since a lot of asian countries are very into keeping certain things in their own country. (I'd know. I'm asian. LMAO.)
