Meet my new 200yr old Wookiee OC Malla’ryyhn (Mah-lah-reen) which means green danger and his adopted daughter, my self-insert OC Maisy. I know it’s probably cringe but I use my self-insert OC for pretty much everything because I’ve only ever done this kind of stuff for me. If you don’t like that kind of thing then you should probably block me.
Nicknamed Malla, he’s a Mandalorian Wookiee with thick black fur and he has fiery green eyes. He wears traditional beskar armor (painted black with a green chest insignia) with Wroshyr wood feet plates, knee pads and a Wroshyr wood shoulder pauldron that has a Lothwolf head carved on it. He wears a standard belt with a few pouches and his bracers are whistling birds and a comm device with a vibroknife. His helmet is black with green accents.
I have Darth Vader for size reference. I started playing around with the idea of a Mandalorian Wookiee when the first season of Mandalorian came out. Then I saw Black Krrsantan “Santo” from Boba Fett and decided I wanted an all black Wookiee OC. I also took inspiration from Rickon Stark’s direwolf Shaggydog (black fur and green eyes) because I had no idea what eye color to use lol.
The basic idea is that this is pretty much The Mandalorian (Lone wolf and cub story) but instead of a human Mando and alien force-child it’s an alien Mando and a human force-child and it’s more character focused.
Instead of having space adventures like the canon Mando, I wanted to do a crossover with my all-time favorite movie The Jungle Book. Disney’s animated 1967 version was the very first movie I ever saw (I was 3) and I’ve always been fascinated by the whole ‘human child raised by animals’ trope.
So here’s what I have so far.
While on assignment of trying to locate a missing foundling, Malla finds the foundling fighting a Lothwolf. Malla kills the Lothwolf but the foundling dies from his injuries. Unknown to Malla, the Lothwolf was actually protecting a small human child, my self-insert. Blinded by rage and grief, she attacks Malla, trying to kill him but he easily subdues her until she is shown to use the Force, choking and nearly killing Malla.
With a nearby threat closing in, Malla takes the child and their relationship starts off like Arya/the Hound from GoT but grows into genuine love for each other.
I always assumed this would take place timeline wise at the same time as Mando so about 5yrs post Return of the Jedi. Not much but that’s just what I’m kind of working with at the moment.
